what a change from the slow and quiet mountain villages to the crazy tuk-tuk loaded, car honking town of huanuco. after the dusty roads its time to clean the bike a little and tighten the screws after the rocky downhills. some more chinese-food to get energy for the next part of the peruvian-rollercoaster.

hey max! we are in huancayo early - had to hitch about 170km from here because my rim broke! and it was supposed to be a record setting distance day! poo! but got here in time for me to get horribly sick, in hotel bed to bathroom to bed repeat 1000 times... but better today after some meds. we found a rim and will stay tomorrow (aug 5) and leave probably the 6th. hope to meet up again, we are staying at the "pussy cat hotel" (unfortunate name but ok place) on the main strip about 5 blocks from the plaza. hope your riding went well! see you soon, kat and swen
