a really early start! (got up at 5.00 on the road at 5.30) nice to do some riding while it is not that hot. so i could ride about 80km before my odometer showed 40 degrees again. funny! now it's 12.00 and i am almost done with riding for today.

we had an really early start to see the sunrise and some birds.
the hike on the short trail was nice, the sunrise as well, but we didn't get to see many birds. after that (and because of the lack in infrastructure in crooked tree) we had a half day ride to belize city, where wayne & anja have a day off.

a very hot day on the road. (up to 50 degrees C)
so after 2 month a new country!?
the roads do not have a shoulder and the surface is rough,
but traffic is really calm (or should i say "relaxed" as everything seems to be a little more relaxed then elsewhere.

a day of mostly relaxation. (it is to hot & humid) to do much.
((and this town is perfect for that, as there would be only one museum which would be worse seeing it))

quite some hills before the road finally drops into the valley of ocosingo.
nice to have been able to ride this stretch, as the change of scenery is impressive!

only a half day on the road, because the crosswinds were so heavy that riding was not possible. i broke my low-rider racks, as the side wind pushed me off the pavment a couple times. some more funny looking birds, but this wind almost tipped a transport truck over!? so i called it a day....
